Dear St. Jude LIFE partner,
Welcome to the Spring 2026 issue of LIFELINE. In this issue, we share plans for the next 5 years of St. Jude LIFE as we begin a new grant cycle.
We will focus on learning why long-term health problems happen after childhood cancer. We will study the heart and blood vessels, brain, muscles, and movement. We want to learn more about the causes of long-term health problems, so we can find ways to prevent them and create better screening and treatments.
We explain what is changing and what is staying the same for St. Jude LIFE visits as we begin a new 5-year grant. This includes simpler pre-visit planning, check-in, and scheduling, plus more options you can complete from home. You will also learn why some people may be invited to complete a few more tests.
Finally, we are proud to spotlight the lively Biggs family and share why this mom and her 2 daughters choose to take part in St. Jude LIFE.
Thank you for your time, trust, and partnership. You are helping us improve the lives of childhood cancer patients and survivors.
Sincerely,
Melissa Hudson, MD, and Kiri Ness, PhD, Co-Principal Investigators
